Cello

Richard Allen is an experienced professional musician and teacher. As a member of the Utah Symphony, under the direction of Maurice Abravanel, he has performed an extensive repertoire of music  for orchestra, opera and ballet Numerous  local engagements include the Laguna Arts Festival Orchestra, the Symphony of the Verdugos etc.. 

He has great love for solo and chamber music which he has also performed widely.  He received his  Masters degree, in Cello Performance, at USC.  As a music teacher he has taught in the public schools in Glendale, and as a cello instructor at Brigham Young and Pepperdine Universities. 

His present  passion is teaching cello to children, of all ages, 5 to 75, with emphasis on the Suzuki method and philosophy.  His students will tell you that he is a positive and fun teacher who brings a lot of energy to his lessons and who gets excellent results.

Cost of Lessons with Richard Allen: 
 
Weekly 30 minute lessons in the studio          - $110.00 per month
Weekly 45 minute lessons in the studio          - $165.00 per month
Weekly 1 hour lessons in the studio               - $220.00 per month
 
Weekly 45 minute  lessons in home       -  $195.00 per month 
(Min of 45 minute lessons weekly must be scheduled for in home lessons.)
Weekly 1 hour lessons in home             -  $260.00.
