Trumpet
Having been a trumpet player since the age of 10 when he was first exposed to music in the public school system James Becaria is a practised musician.
Since then, James has grown his craft to encompass a large variety of musical styles and abilities. He is an active performer in the L.A. area with The Los Angeles Pierce Symphonic Winds and also does free-lance work in both live performance and studio recordings ranging from Classical to Jazz, Funk, Rock and Pop.
James earned his degree from the California State University Northridge School of Music in 2006.
Among the groups James has played with are the acclaimed Idyllwild Festival Wind Ensemble, the Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Studio Jazz band at California State University Northridge. For the past three summers (2005, 2006, 2007) he has also attended the Idyllwild Academy for the Performing Arts, an intensive music program that requires a minimum of 5-6 hours of musical study each day. James has also performed in many local venues, including the world famous Walt Disney Concert Hall.
James is a very positve and creative teacher imparting the art and creativity of trumpet that he himself feels and lives in his performances. He is comfortable teaching all ages, and all levels of the instrument.
