Vocal Coach
A native of Ecuador, Irene started singing at a very early age. In her country, Irene has worked as a lead singer for different bands, session singers for television and radio commercials, and as a live and session background vocalist for Ecuador’s top artists like Juan Fernando Velasco, Tercer Mundo, Riccardo Perotti, Pamela Cortes, among others.
Irene came to Los Angeles to keep growing as an artist. She graduated from the Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena in 2003 and continues to train her vocal technique with Head of the Vocal Department Kevyn Lettau. Irene now works at the Academy teaching Private Lessons, Applied Technique and some Vocal Ensembles.
In Los Angeles, Irene has worked for renowned artists like Latin Pop Recording Artist Noelia, has done session work with Grammy Award Winner Darlene Koldenhoven, session background vocals for Latin Grammy Nominee Paulina Aguirre. Irene’s vocals have been featured in albums like “Voices Within” by DJ Monti, and “Beyond Orange” by composers Andrew Campbell and Emir Isilay. Irene is currently working on her own writing and recording project.
Irene teaches “Freedom of Natural Voice Production” and will take any student that is wiling to work and develop their instrument with practice.
Irene is an enthusiastic, experienced teacher who can help any student to bring out the best in their voice with training and practice.
